- Spire Hospital

We have chosen the Spire Hospital Bristol to be our partner in our cosmetic surgery for many reasons. The Spire Hospital is the largest of Bristol’s private hospitals with a full complement of modern operating theatres and its own intensive care unit. You can be confident your cosmetic surgery is taking place in a safe and well-appointed environment.
All initial and follow up consultations take place in the Spire’s outpatient department. The Bristol Spire Hospital is about ten minutes by taxi from the railway station and has a large on-site car park. A map of the Spire Hospital can be downloaded here.
There are no hidden extras to the hospital costs so you can plan your finances with confidence. The following are included in the price of your surgery at the Spire Hospital:
- Any necessary preoperative investigations (blood tests, ECG, X rays etc)
- Use of the minor operating theatre facilities
- Your own individual room for post-operative recovery with en-suite bathroom and television facilities
- A doctor on call 24 hours a day in case of problems in the immediate post-operative period
- All post-operative drugs and dressings
- Post-operative suture removal in the Spire Hospital Bristol outpatient’s department
- In the unlikely event of any post-operative complications requiring further surgery (e.g. drainage of a blood clot) use of the main operating theatre facilities and an overnight stay in hospital if this is deemed necessary
Although an overnight stay in hospital is not necessary after most surgical procedures, you do need to stay in or near Bristol the night after surgery in case of any immediate complications. We strongly recommend that you stay in the Spire Hospital overnight after face lift surgery. We are happy to arrange this for you and it only costs an additional £88. It makes the immediate post-operative period much less stressful both for you and for us.
If you do not wish to stay in a hospital environment the night after surgery we can arrange accommodation in local serviced apartments which cost slightly more.
